It ‘amazing how camera technology has come and develop from its humble origins. Cameras, like all forms of technology and gadgets and gadgets that need to be improved, user-friendly and innovative over the years. This is nothing new, and there is no reason to promote the camera on a pedestal higher than anything else to overcome them. But if history, timing and growth of the camera looks, it is remarkable to see where they come from, where they went, and wherever they venture in the future.
Cameras emerged as large, bulky and cumbersome devices necessary strips or rolls of recording and storing moving images. It ‘was an uncomfortable on the shoulder, or standing on a tripod or legs. Their movement and portability has been seriously hampered and restricted by wires, cords or cables. Only specialized technicians and trained individuals could operate them. Fast forward (another innovation in the camera) for the digital era, and now we are inundated with digital camera brand to brand. They live in some higher price class, with all the necessary Bells & Whistles and functions. While others are simple and inexpensive. Most require no tape – that on further reflection, probably larger than today’s digital cameras – for recording and playback of the movie. Today, cameras today are created with a hard drive in the device, which allows the film to be stored directly on the device itself. “This in and of itself, also shows how computer technology developed over the years.
Digital cameras have improved and progress so far that now not only limited to the traditional site camera. Camcorders are now in a variety of digital devices like mobile phones, portable assistant, handheld game consoles and found a number of other portable devices. Whereas before, perhaps justified only an important event to use the camera, using the current generation of video cameras in the same context as they would a pair of scissors – they are a tool of convenience.
Digital cameras seem to be everywhere these days, even though we are blind, their location and place. Certainly, the hand-camera is always in favor and in style. But more and more people are opting for a digital camera that is part of something completely different and not only have a stand-alone product. And just as interesting as the technology itself, as is customary. The cameras must be documented regularly to collect, create and share. Perhaps always been used for this purpose, but now play an even greater role in society, media and culture.
